In collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Health and Families of the Andalusian Government, the “Ad-Hoc” Association for the Care of People with Addiction Problems creates prevention programs.

Young people may be affected by substance abuse. One of the biggest is the inability to drive under its influence.

The intervention aimed to teach adolescents how to drive safely under the influence of drugs.

This was done in collaboration with driving schools in Baza between October 1st and June 30. The content included current legislation and statistical data, as well showing how dangerous it is to drive while under the influence of substances, detection devices, guidelines, and recommendations.

The Ad-Hoc Association has long been focusing on interventions that include the family in the area of preventive measures. The project aims to educate fathers and mothers about addictions and health education and encourage them to take a leadership role in prevention. The program also provides guidelines for improving communication within the family and conflict resolution. It also teaches about how to use leisure time and educates about addictions. The course teaches how to recognize an addiction and what steps to take if one is found. Interventions have been conducted in the Comprehensive Plan Center and the Baza Region to achieve this goal.

Youth population

Ad-hoc considers prevention with the youngest populations to be vital. This is why it has opted to support this project for over 14 years. The students of Basic Vocational Training as well as some Compulsory Secondary Education have influenced the classrooms at the Baza Institutes. Their actions helped to develop skills that will help young people to live a healthy life.

Ad-hoc associations also support treatment and integration. The program addresses a variety of needs for the people who work with the Ad-hoc association. These people have basic needs, such as food and hygiene, but also social and emotional needs, such as training and employment, belonging to a group and relating to the environment. Ad-hoc works to ensure that beneficiaries feel valued and included in society.
