The firm will occupy the building located at Calle Serrano 69, which has an area of more than 5,000 square meters, spread over seven floors.
The management body of Ecija has approved in its last plenary meeting the transfer of its corporate headquarters, currently located in the Cuatro Torres district, to a unique building located at Calle Serrano 69 in Madrid, which will be fully occupied by signing as of January 1, 2023.
This movement, they explain from the firm, responds to the growth experienced by the firm in recent years, which has forced it to triple the space in its current location in just five years and which now leads it to need a unique and singular headquarters in full heart of Madrid. Thus, the space will cover the almost 250 professionals that make up the Ecija workforce in Madrid -almost 1,000 globally- and will allow the Firm to continue its growth path and attract new talent.
The property, which will be fully occupied by the legal firm, is currently in the process of being refurbished. In fact, the firm intends that its workers have an active role in the design of the new work spaces, which must be flexible to adapt to clients and ways of working that exist in the firm.
“This new headquarters will allow us to continue growing according to our needs. It will be the meeting point for our clients, professionals and teams,” says Hugo Écija, president of the firm. “It will also allow us to consolidate Ecija Academy, which will have a luxury auditorium in the heart of Madrid for internal and external teaching in digital economy law.”
As explained by the law firm, the new corporate headquarters is owned by the Insurance Compensation Consortium and was to date the headquarters of Santander Asset Management, investment fund manager of the Santander Group. The building, designed by the architect Fernando Higueras, has a total area of 5,193 square meters. The property also has its own parking, gym and restaurant area, an auditorium with capacity for 100 people and a large outdoor terrace.
