Waste management, the naturalization of cities or projects to improve the quality of life are the focus of the Sustainable Environmental Solutions Forum, from June 14 to 16 at Ifema Madrid.
Today the IV Forum for Sustainable Environmental Solutions (FSMS) begins at Ifema Madrid and it is no coincidence that it coincides in the calendar with other events also focused on human progress, through ecological and efficient initiatives, such as Genera and Global Mobility Call. In its case, the FSMS hosts three interconnected events until June 16: the International Urban Planning and Environment Fair (Tecma), the International Recovery and Recycling Fair (SRR) and the Cities Forum.
In addition to hosting a total of 227 commercial exhibitors, the forum offers a wide range of conferences and debates for professionals from the sectors and public bodies involved. There will be no lack of distinctions for institutions and companies, such as the Silver, Gold and Platinum Brooms for environmental care work or the Tree Awards for projects of an urban nature.
Tecma brings together manufacturers of urban furniture and playgrounds, as well as companies dedicated to the creation and maintenance of Spanish green areas. This is the case of the infrastructure management companies grouped in Aseja, those that are part of the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens (Aepjp) or the manufacturers of urban equipment for container vehicles.
In the digitization section, Ifema has a new partner, Red.es. This entity, attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, will actively participate in Tecma to help SMEs and the self-employed to digitize their activities.
The fair that deals with recycling and the circular economy, SSR, pays full attention to the new national and European regulations that address the most appropriate development of organic waste recovery systems (according to the new European Union Directive) or the development of the circular economy.
All these novelties and perspectives are collected in an ambitious program of meetings and debates that includes the participation of leading experts in the sectors of recycling and the reuse of materials of all kinds: from organic to metal or glass. Tomorrow, the Circular Economy Working Group will present its Document 2022, Improving waste collection.
For its part, the Spanish Association of Recyclers of Paper and Cardboard (Repacar) will organize one of the professional meetings aimed at addressing the main problems of this sector. And meanwhile, the IV European Conference on Recycling will play especially what is related to market trends.
The scrapping of vehicles and the treatment of car and truck materials will be issues to be discussed at the meetings to exhibit efficient methods for a circular economy. Sigrauto will present a meeting and a round table on the Spanish regulatory framework, with the presence of political authorities and senior managers from the automobile sector.
The round table format, with more than 50 and a total of 260 speakers, predominates in the Cities Forum, which will revolve around the axes of urban planning, renaturalization, urban habitability and circular economy. This contest will place a special emphasis on the financing of projects and the exchange of good practices between town halls and councils. Like the entire FSMS, this forum will have a broad Ibero-American participation among the 70 cities that will present their experiences.
