There was no suspense in the Challenge Cup final. On the eve of the highly anticipated Champions Cup final between Toulouse and Leinster (Saturday, 2:45 p.m.), the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will have experienced a one-sided outcome between Gloucester and the Sharks (17-36). Well helped by the boot of their scrum half Siya Masuku, the South Africans largely dominated the debates, scoring three tries in the process, signed Buthelezi, Fassi and Mapimpi.
The burst of pride of the English at the end of the match (tries by Socino and Clarke) will not have changed anything, and the Sharks become the first team to win in a continental event since their integration last season. 2024 champions, the Sharks succeed RC Toulon, titled last year.
