With good momentum after their victory against Asvel (92 – 86) on Sunday in the championship, the capital’s players are keen to end the year on a good note. Against Venice (8th in the ranking), the Parisians took time to get going and they therefore found themselves tied at the end of the first quarter (24 – 24). The fault, among other things, was a failure of skill at 3 points (0/10 at the start of the match). They will quickly correct the situation between the middle of the second (51 – 39) and the end of the third quarter (6/11 at 3 points), and Tuomas Iisalo’s players escape before the start of the last act (87 -61).

This good passage was once again brought about by the two Parisian leaders, TJ Shorts (13 points, 6 assists) and Nadir Hifi (18 points, 5 assists). The two elves from the capital brought energy and above all movement to the Parisian offensive animation. This time it was Nadir Hifi who revived his team by scoring 8 points in a row after returning from the locker room to allow the Parisians to continue their good momentum.

American guard Tyson Ward (17 points, 5 rebounds) also produced another very high-level performance by not missing a single 2-point shot (7/7, 100%). More generally, the entire Parisian collective was good and diligent on both sides of the pitch. This is already the seventh time this season that the capital’s players have exceeded the 100 point mark in the Eurocup.

Thanks to this tenth victory in eleven matches, they remain leader of their group. Their next European meeting will be on December 20, when they host Hamburg for one of the last matches in their history at Carpentier.
