When you imagine that the largest predator that ever lived on the earth, then comes the Tyrannosaurus rex on the retina for many.

But a T-Rex should be called Tristan Otto, would most probably guess.

nevertheless, it is the name of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, which in these days be ready for showcasing at the Museum.

The huge skeleton, which measure 12 metres in length and 3.4 metres in height, is owned and named after a son of pr. owner.

The most dangerous predator in earth’s history, takes Copenhagen 19. June.

It is not commonplace to be able to experience a Tyrannosaurus rex in Europe.

Actually, there are right now only exhibited a second T-Rex skeleton in our part of the world, and it is to the Netherlands to experience.

at the same time, Tristan Otto, which the Danish owners have dubbed the dinosaur, one of the most well-preserved and complete T-Rex skeletons in the world.

About 50% of the entire dinosaureren is made of the original skeleton, while the skull is made up of 90% percent skeleton. The rest is built up of plastic.

– Rekonstruktionerne is not fantasy. You have found the ca. 50 fragmented T-Rex skeletons in the entire world, and thus has been able to forge a whole and get back to what it looked like, exactly, tells Abdi Hedayat, Conservator at the Natural history Museum.

He has the past months the work to make the exhibition ready for the public.

A challenge that may absolutely special solutions for due dinosaurerens extreme size.

– We got a blacksmith to design a special device, so for example we could lift the 200-kilogram heavy hip in place with a crane, says Abdi Hedayat on one of the challenges with the prehistoric big.

Tristan Otto, the first Tyrannosaurus rex to put the legs on Danish soil, was found back in 2010 in Montana, USA.

Here came a dinosaurjæger on a big black stone that did not fit into the landscape.

– Tristan Otto has been dead in the ground in about 67 million years and have been squeezed and crushed and pulled apart by all the forces, which are in the earth, explains Abdi Hedayat.

As the years go by, and the wind and weather erodes the earth, comes the fossils that the dinosaur forward.

– So it requires that you find knogleresterne at the right time. For do you not do anything about them, so they will disappear, also, tells Abdi Hedayat.

the Tyrannosaurus rex is not the only dinosaur, it will be possible to experience at the Museum.

in Addition there may be experienced four other dinosaur skeletons, and a skull of Tyrannosaurus rex’s biggest enemy among other dinosaurere, Triceratops-dinosaureren.

– Dinosauere is just wonderful, because everyone loves them. It is a little bit like butterflies. The segment who hate them, are not so large, notes the director, Peter C. Kjærgaard.

Abdi Hedayat had a bid on, why dinosaurere is loved by virtually all.

no matter how much one researches it here, so we will never find out what color and how it exactly looked like. So we have something tangible as a skeleton in front of us, then there is also the very imagination of it here, explains Abdi Hedayat.
