CA Brive hooker, Adrien Pélissié, suffered a serious knee injury Thursday evening, during the Corrèze club’s defeat against Colomiers (15-9) as part of the 13th day of Pro D2. In an innocuous action, in the 11th minute of play, the ex-Clermont player was tackled behind a ruck and his knee was caught in overhang.
The match referee immediately stopped the game to allow Adrien Pélissié, grimacing in pain, to be evacuated on a stretcher. He was transferred directly to a hospital in Toulouse to be operated on in the evening.
At a press conference, the new CAB coach, Pierre-Henri Broncan, returned to the serious injury of his hooker. “It’s a complete dislocation of the knee. He’s finished his season already and I hope his career isn’t over either. Adrien, he’s a great guy and I think a lot of him. I want to pay tribute to him this evening…”
Last January, Adrien Pélissié (33 years old) had already suffered a serious injury, suffering a rupture of the cruciate ligaments in his right knee.
