The Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU) to creates five new multiple-unit trains for the Uetliberg Bahn. The procurement costs amount to a total of 46.7 million Swiss francs. Be delivered to the multiple-unit trains from Stadler.
The contract was signed on Tuesday at the headquarters of the SZU in Zürich, as it is called in a SZU-communication. After the signing of the contract of the appointment, plan the delivery of the first trainset Be 570 in November 2021.
The first months are required for type tests, dynamic commissioning and the acceptance by authorities. Then the other trains will follow. The operation with all the railcars in the driving operation is provided for scheduled rule from July 2022. Today’s vehicles Be 520 and B 220 are then withdrawn from service.
