Lyon-Lille 0-2 Lille: David (28th), Santos (32nd) OL (quickly) fell back into their ways. Winner of its very first match of the season in Rennes before the international break (0-1), the Rhone club fell again against Lille, at the end of the 13th day (0-2). Les Gones remain stuck in last place in the standings while the Northerners, attractive on the pitch at Groupama Stadium, return to within a small point of the podium. Merciless Mastiffs

The return of Lacazette at the forefront did not prevent OL from being dominated by Lille from the start. Much more serene and technically secure, the Mastiffs quickly took a monopoly on the ball. Mastery without forcing, combined with formidable efficiency. Mute for ten games, David found the net again by opening the score with composure before the half-hour mark (0-1, 28th). And in the process, Santos was responsible for doubling the lead with a powerful strike, out of reach for Lopes still abandoned by his defense (0-2, 32nd). Overwhelmed, the Lyonnais could even have sunk definitively at the end of the first period, following a huge miss from Yazici (39th). OL, a highlight and that’s it

As often since his arrival, Fabio Grosso made the cut from the break, this time making a triple change. Lacazette was ordered to join on the bench, while Cherki went the other way. And if Lille continued to be dangerous on the counter (48th, 50th), the Gones offered themselves a huge highlight around the hour mark. But neither Baldé (57th, 61st) nor Kadewere (59th) were able to restore hope at Groupama Stadium. Less dashing during the second act, Losc focused more on managing its advantage. The Lille bloc was no longer surprised by the muddled Lyonnais. And quickly resigned at the end of the match, in front of an audience more indifferent than rebellious.

Logically beaten by the fourth in the ranking, OL were unable to continue and displayed their many ailments this Sunday. Sick at all levels, the red lantern of the championship will have the difficult task of traveling to Lens the next day. Not the best place to hope to relaunch.
