He became known thanks to his Instagram page, with 446,000 subscribers. Not bad! On his feed, you can watch videos of colorful fumaroles in computer-generated images. We also find building facades in Tokyo, London, New York and Paris dressed, by the magic of digital technology, with ruffles of pink tulle. We owe above all to Andrés Reisinger the creation of an armchair covered with 20,000 polyamide petals, cut by laser, published by Moooi. A seat called Hortensia, originally a simple 3D rendering posted in July 2018 on its Instagram page, which, given its number of likes and the interest of potential buyers, was able to convince the Italian manufacturer of the interest of ‘put into production.

A talented jack of all trades, this designer and 3D graphic artist, originally from Buenos Aires, is now based in Barcelona. Experienced since a young age in the use of screens, the interactivity of video games and the futuristic fantasy specific to virtual worlds, he is part of the emergence of a new generation of multimedia creatives. At the end of the 1990s, when he was 8 years old, the toddler was given his first computer. Of course, I wanted to play games, he recalls, but I was more interested in defining my own worlds than those developed by others.

As a young man, he trained in graphic design – the art of mixing typographic characters, shapes, colors and images – at the University of Buenos Aires. Another childhood passion, music. He took classical guitar lessons at the conservatory, which undoubtedly gave rise to his taste for evanescent harmonies.

For me, pink expresses something reassuring, comfortable, which refers to early life – to the color of the skin as well. We find pink bathing his videos, lining his furniture, all-over with syrupy visuals. Sometimes to the point of disgust. No matter, their aura of technological modernity and this cosmetic softness know how to seduce many brands, such as Christian Dior, for whom Andrés Reisinger developed a digital garden of Eden inspired by the Gris Dior perfume, but also Apple, Bally, Meta and Samsung .

On the product design side, the Argentinian skilfully revisits a form of space age in vogue at the turn of the millennium, which is now making a comeback. Let’s not forget that already in 1999, Ora ïto, then a young boy, stood out with a virtual Louis Vuitton backpack, designed in 3D. Andrés Reisinger follows in his footsteps.

His talent lies rather in his artistic direction and his ability to define a dreamlike, fantastical, sweet and reassuring universe, declined to infinity. The sum of his creative effervescence, he published Unclassable, a self-published work retracing his journey over the last ten years. Testifies to its ability to connect the imaginary and the tangible. All of this is real for me, since it is my reality… We will in any case increasingly have to live simultaneously in a digital world and in the physical world.
