Adi Hütter (Monaco coach, after the 5-2 defeat in Paris): “It’s an easy match to analyze, we made four big mistakes and that’s far too many against PSG… It’s almost four goals against our camp! It made PSG’s task easier. They had more possession but I often had the impression that we were on the same level and in the end, we were punished for each error. (on the offensive style of ASM at the Parc des Princes) We didn’t want to hide in Paris. It’s too easy for them if you stay in your own half and only think about defending. We had good times. At 2-1, Minanimo has a great opportunity to equalize. Superb save from Donnarumma but we could have equalized and come back to 2-2 at half-time. We also did good things in the second half but we didn’t manage to score, we gave away goals and Paris was very good and very efficient. The result is very hard for us… But four goals against our side is too hard at this level.

First assessment since the start of the season? We started well. I don’t like talking about injuries but we have them, with Embolo, Salisu, Caio Enrique… I hope Salisu comes back quickly. We had a very good start to the season, a very offensive game, we scored a lot, but the opponents are not stupid and watch our matches. But we believe in our principles, our style of play. It’s not a 100 meters but a long-distance race. We can lose in Paris against PSG but these five goals are too many, I am disappointed with these goals. We are in the top 3 (in the standings, now six points behind PSG, leader, Editor’s note), but there are too many mistakes at this level. (on Amazon Prime Video)
