Frenchman Édouard Roger-Vasselin and his Mexican partner Santiago Gonzalez will face American Rajeev Ram and British Joe Salisbury on Saturday in the semi-finals of the ATP Masters doubles tournament in Turin (Italy). According to the program sent by the organizers, the Franco-Mexican pair (N.4) will begin their meeting against Rahm-Salisbury (N.6) at the opening of the night session, not before 6:30 p.m., after the first semi-final singles between the Italian Jannik Sinner and the Russian Daniil Medvedev. In the morning, the other doubles semi-final pitted Spaniard Marcel Granollers and Argentinian Horacio Zeballos (N.5) against the Indo-Australian pair, Rohan Bopanna-Matthew Ebden (N.3).
Roger-Vasselin and Gonzalez, tied for 9th in the world doubles ranking, have just won the Basel tournament and the Masters 1000 in Paris in quick succession. Together, they have won a total of five titles this season. Professional since 2002, the 39-year-old Frenchman is competing in the “Masters tournament” in doubles for the third time. He reached, and lost, the final in 2020 with Austrian Jürgen Melzer as his partner.
