As the last Team, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Dean Kukan for the NHL Playoffs to qualify. Columbus gets the decisive point in the penalty shootout against the New York Rangers.

Columbus had shortly before the end of a severe damper plug, as the Team cashed in seven seconds before the end of the regular season the 2:2-compensation. Only in the penalty shootout, the Blue Jackets picked up the coveted extra point that heaved in the third year in a row in the Playoffs. Artemi Panarin became the only player to take a Penalty. Kukan came while just under 11 minutes.

So the battle for the Playoff spots decided with a round to spare. Eight Swiss players (slideshow above) are with their Teams.

Playoff participants Eastern Conference: Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets.
