The world Bank has a new President: The Supervisory Board selected the U.S. candidate Malpass. The self-confessed world Bank critics, was nominated by President Trump.

David Malpass was the only candidate, the decision for him was unanimous. Just before their spring meetings, the world Bank has a new President. The previous President, Jim Yong Kim had submitted at the beginning of the year, surprising his resignation.

Malpass was previously Secretary of state for international relations in the Ministry of Finance and in the U.S. government for the world Bank responsible. In the election campaign, he had advised Donald trump’s campaign team.
