Car Volkswagen is celebrating this year the fact that 45 years ago, began with the production of the Golf. This model is with more than 35 million copies sold worldwide, the best-selling car ever.
On march 29, 1974, it began the plant of VW in Wolfsburg, series production of the Golf MK1, which is designed to replace the iconic Beetle. On 8 July of the same year arrives the Golf at VW-dealers. It is a direct sales success and only two years later, in October 1976, sells the automaker already the millionth copy.
