In the process to have the deadly poison-attack against the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is the only remaining defendant was sentenced to three years and four months in prison. The 30-year-old Vietnamese woman was found by a court in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on Monday of the intentional infliction of bodily harm is guilty. Previously, the prosecution had established the charges of murder dropped. So the woman comes after more than two years of detention, probably in the next month.

The Vietnamese woman had killed the half-brother of North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong-Nam (45), in February 2017, together with a now released Indonesian in the airport of Kuala Lumpur. Both women claim that they knew what they were doing. Supposedly, they thought that they should press for a TV joke in the style of “Hidden camera” a strange man baby oil in the face. In fact, it was poison to the nerves. It is suspected that North Korea’s intelligence service was behind the assassination.

Thus, the process was one of the most sensational political assassinations of recent years, quite unspectacular. In the case of a conviction for murder, the two women would not have been a death sentence. In Malaysia, this is in such cases, the only possible punishment. In March, the justice let the co-accused Indonesian at the request of the Indonesian government, however, completely surprising. This was justified with an overriding interest in good relations between the two States.
