Alexander Karim is currently abroad and play in a tv-series. He saw the acclaimed documentary on Josefin Nilsson in his hotel room and with rödgråtna eyes, he began to write the debattext which also became a position.
“I had no choice when I had seen it,” says Karim.
the Documentary ”Josefin Nilsson – Love me as I am” chronicles her life as an artist, but also a less known and far more obscure side of her life when she was severely beaten by a man she had a relationship with.

Alexander Karim realizes that his position will have financial consequences for him myself, but think it is worth it.

According to him, there are people who are ”generally known assholes”. But he also realises that it is not always possible to know beforehand who will behave badly.

If no one does it he is happy anyway. For Alexander Karim, it is about taking a stand for their children’s sake.
” If they ask “what did you do, dad, you said something?” then I want to be able to say that “yes, you know what, maybe I’m completely unemployed in the day, my career is gone, but it’s because I actually said something,” he says.
#tystnadtagning was one of the major protests during the metoorörelsen. It was the 8 november 2017 as the 456 actor went out in the Swedish newspaper svenska Dagbladet and told me about the sexual abuse and harassment in the film and teaterbranschen. After hand joined even more to the appeal.
A recurring criticism, however, has been that it has been women who have protested.
– It is strange for me that there have been so few male voices, it is so quiet. The silence is frightening, ” says Karim.
