Stina Nilsson, made history last Friday and became the first Swedish woman to win a title in the world cup in cross-country skiing. This after she secured the overall victory in the sprintcupen.
Stina Nilsson did also the Norwegian Therese Johaug on Saturday’s 10 km classic style. Nilsson was able to latch on to the alliance throughout the race and at the finish was the Swedish of the strongest and held Johaug behind her. Thus it was Stina Nilsson in a very good position to take home the whole minitouren in Canada with a good result in the final 10 km pursuit in the freestyle on Sunday.

Stina Nilsson held a continuing lead of 30 seconds down to the Norwegian duo. At the last the spectator control and had the door reduced to Johaug and Flugstad, 21 seconds with three kilometres to go.
With a km to go it apart 19 seconds down to Johaug and Flugstad. Nilsson held off and did a tactically perfect race.
