the official part of The visit to the socialist island nation was supposed to start on Monday. Charles wanted to visit the historic city centre of Havana and the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel meeting. Díaz-Canel was in last November for a short visit in London.
the visit of The Royal couple falls into a new ice age between Cuba and the United States, close allies of the UK. Washington had recently tightened the provisions for the decades-old trade embargo against Havana. After their three-day stay there, Charles and Camilla will visit the British overseas territory of Cayman Islands. The Royal couple is on a Tour through the Caribbean.
