A 1.80-Meter-long giant fish washed up on the South coast of Australia. The fish – presumably a moon – fish the size of a heirloom, was dead, discovered on a beach near the mouth of the Murray River in the state of South Australia. In social networks an image that showed two people next to the huge beast and circulated.

According to “National Geographic” can be such a moon fish, also as a sun fish or Mola Mola is known, up to 2.5 tons. According to information from the South Australian Museum the washed fish is for its type, however, rather small: “you can still be much larger, up to two Times as large,” said the fish collection of the Museum competent speaker Ralph Foster, the transmitter ABC.
