Late Tuesday evening, darting a mouse around in the main hall at Odense university Hospital.

the Two men went to visit a friend in the hospital, because the after the visit, got eye on the little pests. The mouse ran along the wall by the lifts in the hospital’s foyer right next to the canteen, so late in the evening has closed.

the 28-year-old Eslam H. Al-Asmar, who lives in Odense, denmark, was somewhat surprised and indignant and made the discovery. On the video you can see him and his friend try hard to capture the little mouse.

– at First I was a little in shock over the fact that there were some small animals at the hospital, tells Eslam H. Al-Asmar to TV 2/Fyn, and continues:

Then I thought: here it is disgusting, gross, and unhygienic. If it was at a restaurant in town, so had you responded with the same. So I really hope also that they make out at the hospital.

After a chase at a little more than two minutes in which the mouse was both close to the lifts that go up to the many other floors in the great sygehusbygning in Odense, and close to some seating, adjacent to the hospital’s canteen, managed the two friends to get caught the mouse.

They catch the mouse in one of the hospital’s many trash cans, which stands in the hall. On the video you can also see, that in the course of musejagten encounter some more people there including something staff.

Eslam H. Al-Asmar says to TV 2/Fyn, to which was pinned a scrap of paper in the trash with the mouse, which was, that it would not be removed. Then took him and his friend home, as the clock was over midnight.

the Head of Technical Section at university Hospital of Odense, Jørgen Lindegaard, who arranges for the repair and maintenance of the hospital buildings, do not take lightly the visit of a mouse on Tuesday night.

– We take it very seriously when we discover that there are pests into our house. Whether it is mice or rats or birds – it belongs not to here inside. So we do all the actions that we can to close the gaps where they can come in and capture them, as we can catch out along with our walls, he says to TV 2/Fyn.

He tells, to work with to find the hole where the mouse has entered, and stop it to get started in the next week.

the Mouse should not get into places like Odense university Hospital, it tells Stone Jørgensen, who owns The Skadedyrsservice.

– Because it just exactly is a hospital, so there may be some infection risk with different things. And it can of course gnawing on cables and such thing, says Stone Jørgensen, TV 2/Fyn, and continues:

– But it is probably difficult to completely avoid the mouse into the automatic doors. They run the check with the people who go out and check.

According to the sektionslederen for OUH it is rare that the hospital receives the visit of the mouse. However, it’s happened before, says Jørgen Lindegaard, to TV 2/Fyn.

He assures, however, patients and relatives that the mouse would never, ever be able to get so far into a branch, or as close to the food, that it would be dangerous.

Immediately, there is no great danger, because it is indeed not worse, than that people are walking around on the floors. But if they come up in food, so it’s very serious, he says.

However, if an elevator door goes up, and the mouse is dashing in there, so it may just suddenly find themselves on a department?

– Yes. It will, of course, in theory, could happen, but there will not be able to get something at a department – and certainly not inside of the sterile departments, as we have, which is completely closed, says Jørgen Lindegaard.
