“New demonstration against the government in Montenegro”
“Thousands of people participated on Saturday in a new demonstration in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica with the requirements that president Milo Djukanovic and his government to resign after accusations of corruption, abuse of power and cronyism.”
“– Milo, thief! We are the state! cried the crowd, among other things.”
“It was the fifth demonstration in two months against the 57-year-old president and his democratic party DPS. The president and the party rejects all the accusations, but says peaceful demonstrations are a right.”
“Djukanovic has long existed in the country’s political strata, with several terms as both prime minister and president.”
“– We want to change and after 30 years, I believe that all citizens understand that the last dictator must be removed, ” says the 45-year-old Ana Vujosevic from Podgorica, one of the demonstrators.”
“Montenegro is a member of Nato and a candidate country to the EU.”
