The confirmed deaths are all in eastern Zimbabwe, bordering Mozambique. At least 40 people have been injured in the same area, and several thousand people have been affected by the storm in the form of power outages and flooding.
According to Joshua Sacco, a member of parliament in the affected Chimanimani region, has at least 25 houses had been washed away in a landslide.
” There were people in the houses. They belong to the missing, ” he says.
