The Federal Council is pushing for a new criminal law to be able to in the future to strengthen the fight against illegal trading platforms in the so-called Darknet approach. The national chamber approved a bill against the portal operator, which enable the Spread of narcotics, explosives, or child pornography on the Internet.
The bill provides penalties of up to three years in prison. It thus remained below the requirement of Bavaria, which holds five years is appropriate.
