A hundred migrants yesterday, invaded the port of Calais, in Northern France. About fifty of them managed to board a ferry to climb, reports the prefecture. At least 44 migrants were picked up.

The migrants, who hope through the port in the United Kingdom to reach, pushed the port between a quarter after nine and a half ten in the evening.

“About 50 of them have succeeded in making a ferry to climb that came from Dover, and had just moored,” said the prefecture. “Two of the migrants have fallen into the water and were quickly fished out by the fire brigade.”

The police have the ferry hours combed in search of intruders. Around a quarter to one at night was still a dozen people on board of the ship, near the island of schouwen. That zone is difficult to achieve, as it sounds. On board are hundreds of tourists – both French, British, Belgian and truckers.

The shipping traffic in the port was temporarily interrupted. Ferries of the shipping company P&O and DFDS, who operate on the Channel to Calais, could not dock in France.
