A motorist is caught early Sunday morning at the main station of St. Gallen with his car on the tracks of Appenzell Railways. The railway operation had to be interrupted for more than an hour.
The motorist was shortly before 6 o’clock on the train station square and had to respect the driving ban, such as the St. Gallen city police said. At the railway station he was caught on the rails of the Appenzell Railways, and after about 150 meters, came to a standstill. There, the vehicle had to be recovered with a crane.
During the service interruption of more than one hour of spare buses were used. The motorist was classified by the police as driving unable. Because he had a foreign driver’s license, he was deprived of this for Switzerland, however. (Dec/sda)
