It cost the airline Lucky Air almost 137.000 crowns (140,000 yuan), as a passenger in February threw coins in the engine.

the Plane was forced to remain on the ground overnight, and all 162 passengers had delayed their departure.

It joins the airline on social media, writes the China Daily.

the Aircraft was to have flown from Anqing, in east China’s Anhui province, to Kunming in Yunnan province. Prior to departure, had the staff, however, found evidence that had been thrown coins in the engine, and asked why the passengers aboard.

Two coins were found on the ground in front of the engine.

A 28-year-old man with the surname of Lu acknowledged that he had thrown the coins. He was subsequently arrested and detained for seven days.

Lucky Air claims that the incident in addition to the cost of 137.000 dollars has cost the lives of many of the other passengers to great inconvenience, and that the plane was cancelled.

the Airline has therefore announced that they will sue the passenger in accordance with chinese law.

It is not the first time that it has happened in China. Previously two other cases occurred, but gerningspersonerne were both released due to their high age.

In one case, it was an 80-year-old woman.

It is, according to the China Daily extremely dangerous when thrown coins in the engines. If not detected, it may mean engine trouble along the way, or that the engine simply stops in the air during the flight.
