Staden stadens station mayor Francesco Vanderjeugd (Open Vld) is again single. Vanderjeugd had since the beginning of 2018 in a relationship with Justine Decadt, the sister of terreurslachtoffer Ann-Laure Decadt.
After fourteen months, the mayor Francesco Vanderjeugd (31) and Justine Decadt (26), a point put behind their relationship. “Our expectations and visions of the future layers, just not in the same line,” explains Vanderjeugd. “We have this decision taken together. It is with much pain in the heart, but it could not be otherwise. Justine and I will always be friends forever and keep in touch.”
“I am grateful for the moments that we had together. Francesco is an important source of support for me. I attach also still a lot of value to our friendship,” said Justine short.

He arranged a lot of practical things and there even was at the airport when the coffin with the body of Ann-Laure arrived. After the funeral of her sister sent Justine the mayor a message to thank him. That one message was a reply from the mayor. Two messages were a chat conversation. Those conversations were a dinner party. “Francesco is a sensitive man, I experienced. Well We could talk about how we felt, and how I have suffered,” said Justine earlier about the origins of their relationship. “He has two years ago, his mother lost and he was there too. We got the feeling that we understood each other and that we are the things said to each other that said they had to be. And so we are a couple.”
