The number of unemployed in Germany fell slightly in February to 2,373 million. This is the lowest figure for February since the reunification. The unemployment rate is unchanged at 5.3 percent. The Federal employment Agency (BA) reported.
In comparison to the previous month, the number of job seekers decreased in February to 33,000, a year-on-year, it decreased to 173,000 persons. “The labour market remains robust in the face of the economic slowdown,” said authorities chief Detlef Scheele.
