The second diplomatic summit between U.s. president Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was today abruptly discontinued. North Korea would Trump have asked for all sanctions against the country to lift which both leaders without agreement apart went. But according to the North Korean minister of Foreign Affairs wanted to Kim Jong-un that the sanctions are only partially stopped.

The much-discussed meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-un delivered, so no agreement. The top was shortened and the press conference of the Us president started two hours earlier than originally planned. Two hours later, said the North Korean Foreign minister Ri Yong Ho to the press during a rare public performance. The statements of North Korea and the U.S. are once again diametrically opposed to each other.

“The paper layers ready to sign”

Trump made at his press conference immediately clear that Pyongyang wanted all sanctions against the country were lifted. “They wanted that we have all the sanctions lifting. That we could not allow it,” said Trump about that. “The paper layers ready to sign, but sometimes it is necessary to the negotiating table to quickly leave without agreement. I am never afraid to go away without agreement”, stressed the Us president.

But that’s not true according to the North Korean minister of Foreign Affairs: Kim asked for the sanctions to be (partially) cancel. In exchange, Pyongyang put a point behind the testing of nuclear weapons and long-range missiles and the dismantling of its main nuclear facility. He had a “realistic proposal”, but Trump would have asked for it still to go a step further than the dismantling of the site in Yongbyon.

According to the North Korean minister received the “chairman Kim the feeling that he didn’t understand how Americans count”. He further said that Kim “wants” for further negotiations may be lost. It was crystal clear that the United States were not willing us to accept,” said the minister.
