The Who’s original drummer, Doug Sandom, is dead.

Doug Sandom died yesterday on the day after his 89 birthday.
He sat behind the barrels for The Who in the band’s humble beginnings from 1962 to 1964, while the british beatorkester still called The Detours.
Doug Sandoms the space was taken over by the legend of Keith Moon, which is one of rockhistoriens most famous and notorious drummers.
According to Pete Townshend was Doug Sandom an ‘excellent’ musician, who, however, apparently was fired because The Who’s label thought he was too old.
the Group’s two remaining members, Pete Townshend and singer Roger Daltrey, are currently working on veteranernes first studio album since 2006.
The Who will be touring in the year intensively in north America, but legionærerne also provides two summer concerts at Wembley Stadium in his hometown of London.
