“the Newspaper Ghanoon has received a notification and its publication has been stopped on the basis of its title on Tuesday,” writes the quasi-official news agency Isna.
the Newspaper, two times in the past been closed down in recent years, also published a picture of how al-Assad and Iran’s supreme leader, ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hugging each other.
It is unclear how long the new closure of the newspaper comes.
Iran has supported al-Assad with both materials, manpower and money during the nearly eight-year long war in Syria.
