In 21 seasons has Dirk Nowitzki been a big profile in the u.s. basketliga the NBA.
the German has in all seasons in the league tørnet out for the Dallas Mavericks, but many expect that this season will be his last.
And even though the 40-year-old German has experienced much in basketbanen, he was not quite prepared for what happened on the night of Tuesday, when the Dallas Mavericks visited the LA Clippers.
At the end of the match cruised the Clippers against the victory with a lead of 121-112. Everyone in the arena was ready to pack up and go home, while one anticipated that the clock would run out.
But then took the LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers affair.
He used his last timeout, took the microphone and began to shout after Nowitzki. Soon came the whole arena up in the big applause in honor of the German giant.

Dirk, Dirk, Dirk! Let’s go! Let’s go! Dirk Nowitzki. One of the best ever, said Rivers, who could see both the fans and the players on the field smoking on hyldesten.
Even was Nowitzki taken on the bed.
– It was awesome. I greatly appreciate it. At first I thought, ‘What are you doing Doc? Why take a timeout? What is he doing with 9,4 seconds again? What did he walk in? Then he took the microphone. I did not understand so much of what happened, but it was a humble moment. Very emotional, ” says Dirk Nowitzki, according to ESPN.
Doc Rivers had before let the chance pass up to pay tribute to a legend, but not this time.
– It was just because we had a lead, and I had a timeout left. Frankly, it was not something I had planned. I just felt he deserved it.
– I think we gave Dwayne Wade (Miami Heat, red.) the same round. Then it was a close fight, and I think they won. Wade played as if he had to play five more years. I would not let it happen again. I just did it, he says.

Rivers gets high praise by its trænerkollega.
– It is one of the greatest moments I have witnessed. I know, that comes similar moments, but this here was the original. I have never seen anything like it, says Dallas Mavericks’ coach Rick Carlisle
Nowitzki has been hailed throughout the season, wherever Dallas has played, but it can prove to be in vain. For he is not sure, he stops yet, though very suggest it.
– They (the fans, red.) making the decision for me, it seems, he laughs.
– We shall see what the season brings, but it has been amazing. The receipt of the fans has been amazing.
Dallas Mavericks seem to have outlived their chance to get in the playoffs, while the Clippers look like a warmer and warmer take on a candidate for the playoffs.
