Yes

Much of the language in the run-up against the “Green Book”, the Oscar award for angry now the minds. But the fact is that the movie by Peter Farrelly consists mainly of an excellent drama movie. If so, since the racist Italo-American doorman Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen) as a driver of the introverted dark-skinned jazz musician Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali) is required and setting out together in the American South – notably in the early sixties – that you would not expect necessarily to have a Feelgood movie. But then Mortensen grabs in the driver’s seat his whole lubrication, if he stuffs ever eat. Ali counters by the back of the bench with distinguished Abgelöschtheit. Of a proper hero, as at first, and for good reasons.

“the Green Book” is a journey in the time of social turmoil, and one could say that the Film tells both of then and of today. When these characters converge, however, a long-distance arduous process. It is an interplay of Strengths and weaknesses, the effect is easy and consumable, but of course all the more difficult in manufacturing.

On a cinematic level, the Scanning works very well. Thanks to good Timing, one sees the world, from Italo-American, from African-American point of view – at the end of the relationship is predominant. The Film not upon yourself to offer a solution, which relates to social constraints and prejudices. He shows them simply as conditions.

The most amazing thing about “the Green Book”, however, is to be Director: Peter Farrelly, who produced, with his brother Bobby for the longest time steam hammer comedies à la “Dumb and Dumber”, celebrating here is a real career-Reboot. A Film about friendship in times of hatred would have thought, anyway, no one. Now, the 62-year-old Farrelly presented for the first time from an adult site, and scores at the Oscars three times. Also would have thought a few years ago, no one possible.

to say p> Heavy, more push to “Green Book”. The Film sensor welded Unkel Packed his reactionary reconciliation idea as a left-liberal? He shows alienated the classically educated black pianist than its actual culture, so I, as the hatred of the racists and the detachment of the artist were comparable to, and in the time of racial segregation?

it Takes courage, or enough of mendacity, proposing that people do for the purpose of better understanding time locker? The Drama takes place in the segregated South, and coming at a time in the cinema, in the power differentials and racism in a long time are smoothed out. The white Chauffeur is understood actually as the true “Negro”, because he, compared with Shirley, a working-class life and with the musician only what can start as a this is a picture of Black way: “Green Book” is to break the perspective of white supremacy, reproduced.

The Film has success, because he confirmed to make the laueste the Form of righteousness: We can’t stand the other Yes, as long as he a) is a self-similar, and b) this Similarity is achieved through their own effort. Until that happens, you can sit back, relax, because you find yourself yeah nothing would be a bother.

In its falsity that is just the right Oscar-winner like Tony Lip on one of his passengers look, look to the spectators on the race question with a view that hides the own privileges. In Hollywood you can tell a racism story as a Cleansing tale of a White.

In the run-up to the Oscars told by Director Peter Farrelly of the scene in which Tony Lip throws away in his apartment two glasses, from which the black artisans had been drinking. The colored performers were so appalled that this man should be the Hero of the film and not the villain that he suspended the shoot for 45 minutes to explain to them the figure. He found this as an amusing anecdote, says it all.
