Beringen-It had a nice birthday party for her 12-year-old daughter Anna, but Keely Mees (46) keeps only grim memories about her trip to snorkelcentrum TODI on BE-Mine. “We were calm on the surface, the snorkelling is when I fish I saw swimming. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain and started my hand to bleed profusely.” A silver arowana, a carnivorous fish from the Amazon, had Keely been bitten.
TODI is the first indoor snorkel and diving center in Europe. Visitors can enjoy a wonderful underwater between colorful, tropical freshwater fish. According to the organization, you can do that in safe conditions. “My daughter Anna was a year old and it seemed like a fun idea to go snorkeling,” says Keely Mees. An original birthday party, we thought. That is the certainly become. We were quiet on the surface snorkeling when I suddenly that fish with me saw swimming. I thought: hey who are tame. But suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my left hand. I also began to bleed profusely. I was shocked me a lot. Fun is different. And what if that fish my daughter bitten him? I thought it was a safe activity? A rescuer has the beetwonden immediately disinfected and cared for. I’m going tomorrow yet, but once past my gp, because my hand is a bit swollen. I hope that I am not a tropical disease, have suffered.”
