“When we did the audition from the beginning, we thought really that we would go this far,” says Sandor.
But their class 5A on the Nåntunaskolan in Uppsala have taken it all the way to the riksfinalen in the Swedish Radio and Swedish television’s popular quiz ”Vi I femman”, where fifth graders from across the country compete in general knowledge.

The 200 best classes in Sweden went to the local quarter – and semi-finals, which was broadcasted in the Swedish Radio P4. Each class was represented by the girl and the guy who succeeded best in kunskapstestet.
” Sandor is a good pupil in school and chemistry is one of his favorite subjects. I see more on the news and can more about what’s going on in the world, ” says Julia, who, along with Sandor represents Nåntunaskolan.
” We complement each other well and have been friends since kindergarten. It makes us feel safe with each other, ” says Sandor.

” A guy in the opposing team had looked at us and said: ”Those, them, we win very easy against.” So it was extra fun to win, ” says Julia.

Nåntunaskolan was one of 25 winners across the country. But only three classes went on to riksfinalen. A reporter on the P4 Uppland came to school and announced in the live broadcast to the class 5A scored such a high score that they went there.
” What is so nice is that our class is like a small family. All comfortable with one another. Classmates said before the final that, even if they would be a little discouraged if we lost, then no one would be sur, ” says Julia.
Both she and Sandor stresses that the whole class is behind the success. They also see an advantage in that the school is small. To all all know. The class teacher Adrian Julin agree with.
