When I heard ’Hold My Breath’ for the first time, I was very touched, because it woke up a big resonance in me. At the same time the song is a universal story, which is that it can be difficult to accept themselves in the world we live in. I hope that the song can get people to feel that it is okay to be who you are. In any case it is, what it has done for me, says Rasmus Faartoft.
Song number 4: ‘Dancing with You in My Heart’ Marie Isabell

– It is a megafed song, and it has all the classic qualities, which, I think, a Grand Prix-song should have. And so, it arouses so many emotions in me, because I think of my son, when I sing it. So I need to be careful that I’m not going to tudbrøle, when I sing it on the stage, says Marie Isabell.
Song number 5: ‘Say My Name’ Sigmund

– When you get knocked out and get a gok in self-confidence, then you have to pick herself up again. You have to believe in themselves and love themselves each and every day. It is so important, and that is what the song is about. To be allowed to sing such a song in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix is huge for me, and it is something I have dreamed about my whole life, ” says Sigmund.
Song number 6: ’the Queen of the bar’ Humørekspressen
Søren Schou, Christian Kroman, Chang Il Kim & Peter Lützen, all from Copenhagen.
The four members of the Humørekspressen is better known as Pharfar, Klumben, Chapper and guitarist of the band Panamah, Peter Lützen.
– We are very proud to be with in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix. We are thinking that our number stand out, and it seems we are fat. We look forward to making the danes in a good mood – and so we welcome, not least to be able to sing straight away that the ladies are just lovely, saith the Humørekspressen.
Song number 7: ‘League of Light’ Julie & Nina
Julie Berthelsen, 39 years old, & Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen, 41 years old, both grew up on Greenland.

They have known each other for more than 20 years and each have had great success as soloists, but at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019 appears the two singers for the first time ever as a duo.
– It is important that we are practicing to control our emotions, for it means something quite special for us to stand on a Grand Prix scene. We are going to stand there with such strong, emotional and personal messages about something that is much bigger than us, sounds from Julie & Nina.
Song number 8: ‘Step It Up’ Teit Samso
37 years old, grew up in Holeby on Lolland island, live in Fredericia.

Teit Samso is tenured at Fredericia Theatre, where he bl.a. has been seen in the role as Tommy Kelly in the musical ’(Tv)’.
– In the starting song is really just a celebration, but with my performance I hope that I can share, that life is about just to have a party, but also that society should be room for all. We can all open your arms and accept each other, no matter how different we are, says Teit Samso.
Song number 9: ‘Love Is Forever’ Leonora
20 years, grew up and still live in Hellerup, north of Copenhagen.

Leonora has previously skøjtet on eliteniveau, but the focus is now fully on the music.
Love is something universal, which is in all people and between all people – and always will be there. This is what the song is about. While there are nasty things around the world, love will always be there to create hope, optimism, and bind people together, says Leonora.
Song number 10: ‘That Vibe’ Leeloo
34 years old, grew up in the City, living in Gentofte, north of Copenhagen.

Pernille Leeloo has toured with his own music in both the UNITED states and Europe and was recently invited to tour as a warm up for Sanne Salomonsen.
– I’m megaspændt! I love performing and think it is the coolest in the whole world. Especially with a song such as ’that Vibe’, which is a really festsang, as you just can’t avoid being in a good mood, says Leeloo.
