Soudal-Quickstep is in a troubled period of its great history with cycling. Facing financial difficulties for many months, the team led by Patrick Levevere should be merged with the dominant team of the moment, Jumbo-Visma. According to Marca, the management would have indicated this to the various riders of the team, which notably includes Julian Alaphilippe, Remco Evenepoel and Florian Senechal.

This merger, which in reality seems to mark the end of the Belgian team, should lead to the dismissal of most of the team’s employees. They should receive a letter during the day, officially informing them of the decision. It will then be up to the different riders to form a team, in an ultra-competitive world.
