According to the O2 provider Telefónica wants to stop Vodafone’s planned auction of frequencies for the new mobile radio standard 5G. Vodafone has submitted an application for Eilrechtsschutz at the Cologne administrative court. The third major candidate in the auction, Deutsche Telekom, is looking into further action, as a spokesman for the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” said.
