Tom Berger, the police innsatsleder on site, could be around at 11.30 to confirm that the police bombegruppe is in place.
Bombegruppa is hold to secure a package that contains powder. It takes we are always serious, ” says Berger of the press who have met up at the site.
He confirms that several people have been in the vicinity of the package, but says it’s currently unclear if anybody has been in contact with the powder.

We are now looking for traces on the package, then the investigation will seek to uncover who sent it, why it is sent and what the content is, ” he says.
Police have not yet any clear idea about who the package is sent from. They also don’t want to say anything about who the letter was directed at.
Berger emphasizes, however, that none of the student or employee safety is threatened.

the People who have been exposed to this is being attended to by health professionals. Operasjonsleder Engeseth stresses that currently have no felt any discomfort.
– We must take into account that the letter may be dangerous, therefore, the emergency services and bombegruppa on-site.
Police took measures in the building, but it was not evacuated. The letter, which was sent to the university via regular mail, was placed in an isolated room, before that in the afternoon was carried away.
