speed is the same for Nico Rosberg is still a live topic. But the lap times are not more interested in the 1000-HP racing cars on the formula 1 track. The 33-Year-old, of 2016 after winning the world championship of formula 1 exit, our desire is for more speed on the way to sustainable mobility.

That electric cars need not be boring shows the formula E, in which Rosberg has been involved as an Investor. 23. to 25. May take place on the Tempelhofer field in Berlin, the “FIA Formula E Championship” – for the first time parallel to the Greentech Festival, Rosberg, together with the entrepreneurs, Marco Voigt and Sven Krüger. Under the Motto “Celebrate Change”, celebrating the change, it should inspire an international audience for green technologies.

Mr Rosberg, driving fast car?

it depends where. If the road is free, of course makes it fun.

Without a speed limit order?

speed, driving fun, and freedom are trademarks, for which the German auto industry is known all over the world. You can be proud of. In the US, German cars drive around with the sticker “German Autobahn tested”. Instead of talking about compromise and prohibitions, we should take the opportunities of a new, sustainable and safer mobility. This is also a reason why we are building the first Greentech Festival under the Motto “Celebrate Change”, the green technology celebrates.

Limits can also be fun. In formula E, in which they are involved, it’s not just about maximum speed, but efficiency and smart consumption of resources – with a Limit: the battery capacity.

This is a good example of this. The driver must save during the race power, to efficiently travel in order to get as quickly as possible from point A to point B. This is a part of the challenge. The fun and enthusiasm.

Why we get excited about a speed limit?

Because the car is an important part of our history. I understand that you’re upset. But I also think it’s important that you talk about. You should not overdo it.

The Greentech Festival aims to accelerate the transition to more sustainability, they expect to Premiere in may, 50 000 visitors in Berlin. What do you hope to gain from this Festival Format?

Berlin is the perfect place for it: Here one knows when to celebrate, here are the Start-up culture is alive, Berlin is our capital city, many young people on mobility think. Better it can be. We want everything that is fascinating. An exciting, great exhibition of green technology, a conference with Workshops, a Lifestyle magazine, the awarding of the “Green Awards” and the formula.

What was the Moment you decided to say goodbye to the internal combustion engine and the formula 1?

I didn’t say goodbye completely, I am and remain a big Fan of formula 1 and of this sport. Which engine is in the car, is secondary. The new, “green” technology fascinated me totally, and much more than the development of the internal combustion engine. I’ve always been a technology Freak. In my “second life”, I found a significant challenge. In the electro-mobility is a large potential, a huge Innovation.

How do you explain that the electric mobility is progressing so slowly?

It is a lack of experience. People need to experience that Wow effect, if you are in an electric car on the road. I think if the vehicles are fit – and you are soon – to-be, then a natural process will come in. It will delight us all at some point, I’m sure of it.

you Drive an electric car?

I’m waiting for the Mercedes EQC or the Audi e-tron. Then I’m all for that. Even I drive a Mercedes GLC with the smallest diesel engine. And in Monaco I’m an electric car-sharing vehicle, the Renault Twizzy, on-the-go. Also fits in a motorcycle Parking.

Norway is a partner country of the festival. Here, every second new car is thanks to the strong public support electric vehicle charging in Germany, the proportion is two percent. This shows that the state has to give more start-up assistance?

The state has put a good framework. He does so, it may not be smart enough. But there is no lack in Germany of funding programmes. We Germans are just too sceptical about new technologies. We have to overcome, and because the manufacturer’s need to load. Our Festival is to show to the Public: As Large, Fascinating to something really on us. Guys are up for it!

are you involved as an Investor in the formula E and a number of innovative Start-ups. Can it? the Little better than the established companies

In this Phase, the Disruption Start-ups are often faster, more agile and free. The large machines of the corporations are common carriers, and less willing to take risks. Since the companies have to be careful. That’s why we bring together on the Greentech Festival all the actors in one place – from Start-up to Big Player, in order to develop joint solutions, which arrive as quickly as possible in the life of the people.
