The fishing boat Our Mother Loreto, who has been ten days locked in front of the coasts of Libya after rescuing 12 migrants, is heading to Malta after receiving last night a communication from Sea Rescue, telling them that finally they had authorization to disembark the shipwrecked in the european port. One of the migrants was already in Malta since Friday after being evacuated by helicopter because of health reasons. “We are very happy. I have not yet been able to tell them because they are asleep and I want to rest, but finally we have been given a safe harbor. The family Durá has rescued nearly a hundred immigrants on the high seas in two boats in the last twelve years. In 2006, Joseph, father of the pattern of Our Mother Loreto, went up to Francis and Catherine 51 shipwrecked, among them a pregnant woman and a girl of two years, in the waters of Malta. On that occasion he had to wait a week while a half-dozen countries negotiating the distribution of the immigrants. This time, his son has spent ten days with them in the boat until finally we have given a solution. One of the survivors had to be evacuated on Friday in a helicopter because he had seizures.
