A third victory in a row for France against Switzerland (3-0) at the start of the Davis Cup group stage. The tricolor pair allows a perfect conclusion to the first day, after the two singles previously won by Adrian Mannarino (against Dominic Stricker) and Ugo Humbert (against Wawrinka).

The Blues can approach more calmly the tougher summits against Australia on Thursday and Great Britain who will play at home on Sunday in Manchester.

The first two singles had already given the Blues victory against Switzerland, but the 3-0 gives them an additional advantage in the final group ranking. The first two places qualify for the final tournament in November in Malaga, Spain.
