Grégory Alldritt (French third row, after the 27-13 victory against New Zealand): “I think we played well for 80 minutes despite a very, very hot evening. It’s a great evening for us. We said that losing this match did not eliminate us from the World Cup, just like winning it does not make us world champions. Now we can’t wait for the next match. (…) It was important to us to show a great attitude, to put a lot of intensity and to play. Afterwards, it’s an entry into the running. We said that if we lost it wasn’t the end of the world and that if we won we weren’t world champions. We are still satisfied but we must not forget that there is still a match in six days.

I said at a press conference this week that the one who would win was the one who played 80 minutes. I think we were consistent for 80 minutes and that’s why we won tonight. Now, time to recover because we have an important match in six days. All matches are important. You have to be able to recover quickly and concentrate quickly because the week is going to be very short.”
