Rennes midfielder Flavien Tait has signed a contract with Turkish club Samsunspor, the Breton club announced in a press release on Wednesday.
Arrived in Rennes in 2019 from Angers, the 30-year-old appeared 129 times in the Red and Black jersey, delivering 10 assists and scoring 12 goals.
After a good year in 2021 where he played a series of matches, the player, hampered by several injuries, no longer fit into the plans of coach Bruno Genesio in recent months, in a midfield reinforced by the arrivals of Nemanja Matic, Enzo Le Fée or Fabian Rieder.
While his departure had been considered since the summer, he had not played a minute this season in four days.
