Liverpool kept their place on the podium after their clear 3-0 victory against Aston Villa, one of the teams in sight in the Premier League, on Sunday, while Crystal Palace dominated Wolverhampton (3-2) thanks to Frenchman Odsonne Edouard.

The Reds have pulled off another great move at Anfield, a week after their stunning 10-11 win at Newcastle. Aston Villa indeed remained on two victories against Everton (4-0) and Burnley (3-1) in the league and a double success against the Scottish Hibernian (5-0 then 3-0) in the Europa League Conference play-offs, four meetings with fifteen goals scored and only one conceded.

Liverpool muzzled the attack led by Moussa Diaby, and Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper of the Argentine world champions, went for the ball in his net three times because of Dominik Szoboszlai (3rd), Matty Cash against his side (22nd) and Mohamed Salah (55th).

Jürgen Klopp’s team is third with ten points, like second-placed Tottenham and fourth-placed West Ham. Manchester City is alone in the lead with twelve points.

For its part, Crystal Palace rose to seventh place by dominating Wolverhampton thanks to a double from its French striker Odsonne Edouard (56th, 84th), released to an ovation from Selhurst Park. Attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze (78th) also took part in the celebration.
