2007 world champion, three-time European champion, Brian Joubert, 38, is in the sights of the French Federation of Ice Sports. Its president, Gwenaëlle Noury, confirmed to the Obs that the skater had been the subject of several reports for “acts of violence” which occurred in the “Brian Joubert Poitiers Club”, where the former world champion exercises his coaching profession.
An administrative investigation was opened, at the request of the prefect of Poitiers. Another investigation, judicial this time, was also opened. Justice is working on an affair between Brian Joubert and an underage skater, whom he trained in his club. The ex-skater responded to requests from the Obs and claimed to have “never crossed this limit”.
He also returned to the reports he is the subject of, explaining that he is not “being perfect” but that he is doing his best. “It’s complicated to know when you’re overstepping the bounds,” he further pleaded.
