Then he fell suddenly together in the middle of a sentence – with acute cardiac arrest.

”I thought, ‘ Now I’ll lose him. Now he will die”, says Isabella.

Pair Jonas Larsson and Isabella Stein living in an apartment block in Hestra outside Gislaved, along with her two children. Last Friday was Jonas in a cheerful mood when he came home around at ten o’clock in the evening.

He is innebandymålvakt in Hestra SSK and earlier in the evening, the team had won a match with 14-2.

– After the floorball, I took a beer in the dressing room. Then I went home, ” says Jonas Larsson.

the Kids had just fallen asleep when he stepped inside the door. Jonas and Isabella sat down on the couch in the living room and looked forward to a cosy evening.

– After that I remember nothing. It’s just black, ” says Jonas.

Isabella Stein is filling in:

– I talked with Jonas and all of a sudden he fell just together. I was in the middle of a sentence.

Isabella’s first thought was that her boyfriend was joking where he sat on a folding knife. But when she short later saw Jonas ‘ face was blue and that the chest is not moving, she understood that it was serious.

– I thought ”Now I’ll lose him. Now he dies,” she says.

On pure instinct, she immediately started to try to save the partner’s life. She felt for his pulse, but found none.

– Then I called 112 and started doing cpr, ” she says.

In about five minutes, alternating her compressions and inblåsningar. She didn’t have time to think dark thoughts, because she was fully focused on the task at hand. Then came rescue and took over the rescue effort.

– It took eleven minutes before the ambulance was here, ” she says.

”Still in shock”

In half an hour fought professionals in the couple’s living room in order not to lose Jonas. Then he was running post haste to the hospital in Värnamo, sweden.

During the journey in the ambulance was his condition more stable.

– Jonas woke up on Saturday, but was kept at the hospital on Tuesday.

– When he woke up was cognition bad. He asked the same questions over and over again, ” says Isabella.

Now Jonas come home, but the doctors have still not figured out why the heart stopped. He is young, strong, and coaches both soccer and floorball.

In the next week, he magnetröntgas to see if the error can be found.

– I’m still in shock. It has not quite sunk in what happened.

– I am glad that Isabella was at home, and that she acted so good, ” he says.

Both of the two has been a reminder of how fragile life is.

– Everything can change in half a second, ” says Isabella.

Jonas adds:

– You always want more. But now I understand that you are really going to be on it.
