the Platform is a political statement and should therefore not be signed by the states, but was on Monday morning adopted by akklamasjon during the UN conference in Marrakech, Morocco.

Around 150 countries were represented at the conference and from the Norwegian side took part the secretary of state Marianne Garden (H).

Divided government

Norway has joined the agreement, but the ruling progressive party has notified the dissenting opinion in the case.

Foreign minister Ine Eriksen Søreide (H) will on Thursday explain whether the agreement in Parliament.

Several charities want agreement welcome.
