At lunchtime on Thursday the european Parliament voted to recognize Juan Guaidó as temporary president of Venezuela. The response from parliament was a yes, and now also calls on the member states of the EUROPEAN union to follow the parliament’s example. The vote is not binding, but nevertheless a clear signal from the EU side.
